The ‘Euro Launch’, will involve a primary school competition with over 80 school children taking part. Eight primary schools from the Wrexham, Denbighshire and Flintshire area will compete to win a place at national finals in July.

Players from the Wales Senior Men’s Squad will also be there to support all the teams and to give them some hot tips on how to reach the top of the international hockey ladder.

The EuroHockey Nations Trophy itself takes place on the 1-8 August 2009 at Glyndwr University and will be the biggest hockey competition ever to take place in Wales. The Wales Senior Men take on the likes of Scotland and Italy with promotion to the next division and qualification for the 2010 Commonwealth Games at stake.
